With our usage requirements growing, the need for awareness hasn't been greater.
Most households overlook the importance of maintaining outlets and switches. The shelf life of most switches and outlets is reducing, and most of the installed outlets in your older home wasn't designed to handle what we require today. Most of them are under rated and will become brittle and weak over time and replacing them should be considered on the home's maintenance. We recommend if it is over 15-20 years of age, you should be looking at replacement if wear hasn't already demanded it. Loose plugs? Loose switches? Problems are already there.
Home remodeling has become a real problem, from DIYers and construction crews over the years hiding things in the wall or just driving a nail in the wall without properly checking for electrical, it has become a big issue. If a breaker is randomly tripping, please call a qualified service technician. Especially if you just got done remodeling or just fastening a new bathroom cabinet to a wall.
A decent electrical stud finder can help eliminate issues before they start and cost effective. Even if you are sure, check again with that handy tool. It could save your home. Need a new Meter Panel?
We work with all Co Op's and Ameren to ensure a timely upgrade or replacement. We schedule the upgrade with the local fire districts inspection and the cut off and reenergizing of the home through your electrical service provider for the same day the meter is replaced. Allowing for a smoother transition with minimum down time. We offer 200A and 400A services.
We recommend updating your old 200A meter base If it is the old small box type otherwise known as a can. The new code compliant meter panels are a great multipurpose asset for your home. One of the benefits is to allow any outdoor items you may want to power up. Want a jacuzzi? This is what they call a combo meter; it allows you a cost-effective way to expand single circuits to sub panels outside your home without the cost of remodeling your home to do it. Another benefit is Surg protection abilities right inside for the whole house.
Our firefighters and Lineman need protection too. All meter panel have level bypass to safely deenergize your home in case of fire or any emergency reason. Accessible shutoffs for any Maintenace, or emergency reason for your outdoor electrical systems. Our code compliant panels, either 200A or 400A are Ameren approved. A requirement if your area is in Ameren's district.

Let's face it, our needs today are expanding. Our homes just can't handle what they were built for years ago. This causes issues with your current electrical system. The panels are burden to harsh use, and they demand maintenance. It's a hard pill to swallow but we are here to help.
If you feel that the main panel is too hot, sparking, or you smell smoke. please turn off the main breaker and call a qualified electrician to service it.
We specialize in every type of panel needed for your home. From jacuzzi panels to sub panels for your garage or shop, we will listen and design a proper electrical system that will fit your needs. We always consider electrical expansion outside of the current situation so your journey with your home is more pleasant.
Be prepared that GFCI breakers and AFCI breakers are required in panels for certain areas of the home if your panel doesn't currently have them. They are designed to save your life and your home.
We recommend having the breakers checked every few years and an inspection of the panel and the ground system if you are unsure of the current condition, the panel is in. We offer this service for a $125 service call. Schedule an inspection anytime. We are here to help you stay safe.

All labor is warranted for 2 years from the date of installation. Parts supplied by Connect Power, is warranted for 2 years unless otherwise noted. Warranty on all breakers, sensors and bulbs are 90 days. Lightning Strikes and Surges are not protected with this Warranty unless Surge protection has been installed by one of our service technicians. All surge warranties are upheld by each surge manufacture product warranty.
Your valuables are our concern. We ask that all items be removed from the areas work is being performed. If any construction is being done, pictures or decorative items be removed prior to work commencing. Our technicians do try to notice items in harm's way and take corrective action if possible, however, they are not responsible for items not securely placed on walls and ceilings. Please have all counters, cupboards free of items to properly service your needs.
